1Who we are

Ancient Modern Finishes, Inc is a painting and decorative finishes company working out of Bonita Springs, FL, across Naples, Bonita Springs, and Estero. We operate this website and the phone number and email address published on it.

In this document, “we” and “us” mean Ancient Modern Finishes, Inc, and “the site” means https://ancientmodernfinishes.com and every page under it.

2Information we collect

There are two kinds, and they are collected in different ways.

What you give us

The estimate form and the contact form ask for your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, what you want done, roughly when, and anything else you choose to type into the notes field. The careers form asks for the details relevant to a job application. You can refuse any of it, with the caveat that we cannot book a visit without a way to reach you.

What your browser sends

Like most website operators we receive the non-identifying information a browser makes available: browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each request. We also receive Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, which are potentially identifying, and we treat those under the same rules as everything else in this document.

We do not run session recording, and we do not fingerprint devices. We do not ask for and have no use for financial account details, government identifiers, or anything else in that category. Do not send them through the forms on this site.

3Cookies and tracking technologies

A cookie is a string of information a website stores on your computer and that your browser gives back on each return visit. We use cookies to keep the site working and to understand how visitors move through it.

A form on this site issues a short-lived signed token when the page loads. It exists to tell a person filling in a form from a script filling in a form, it carries no personal information, and it expires. That one is not optional; without it the forms cannot defend themselves against automated submissions.

Anything beyond that is optional. If you would rather not have cookies set, your browser can be told to refuse them before you use the site, with the drawback that some features will not work properly.

4How we use your information

We use what you give us to:

• Reply to your enquiry and book the on-site visit.
• Prepare and send your written estimate, and schedule work you go ahead with.
• Contact you about a job in progress, including appointment reminders.
• Answer questions about work we have already done for you.
• Understand which pages produce enquiries, so the site gets more useful.
• Detect and block automated and fraudulent form submissions.

If you have given us your email address we may occasionally write to tell you about a service we have added. Every such message carries a way to stop them.

5How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, for money or for anything else. Mobile opt-in data is never shared with third parties for any purpose.

Inside the company, we disclose it only to the people who need it to do the work, and who have agreed not to pass it on. Outside the company it reaches only the service providers that run parts of this site on our behalf: the hosting provider that serves these pages, and the spreadsheet service the estimate and contact forms deliver to. Each handles the data on our instructions and for no other purpose.

We will also disclose information in response to a subpoena, a court order, or another lawful government request, and where we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our property or rights.

We may publish statistics about how visitors use the site in aggregate, for example which service pages are read most. Nothing in that form identifies anybody. If Ancient Modern Finishes, Inc or substantially all of its assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event the company ceases trading, customer information would be one of the assets transferred, and the acquirer would be able to continue using it as set out here.

6Text messages and SMS

We prioritise the privacy of the people who text us, and this section applies to the messaging service specifically.

How to opt in

Ask us to text you, or start the conversation yourself from our contact page. You are agreeing to receive informational messages such as appointment reminders and updates about your job. Message frequency varies with your activity. Message and data rates may apply.

How to get help, and how to stop

• Reply HELP to any message, call (239) 494-8888, or email hello@ancientmodernfinishes.com.
• Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Nothing further will be sent after that.
• You can ask us to access, correct, or delete anything collected through the messaging service, using the same routes.

7Your privacy rights

Whatever state you are in, you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@ancientmodernfinishes.com or call (239) 494-8888 and say which. We will not treat you differently for asking.

Florida residents, and residents of states with their own consumer privacy statutes including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, Texas, and Virginia, have those rights under law rather than as a courtesy, and may in some states appeal a refusal. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so an opt-out of sale has nothing to act on here.

We may need to keep records of work already carried out at your property even after a deletion request, for the reasons set out under data retention below.

8Children's privacy

This site is aimed at homeowners and property managers, not at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information through this site, email hello@ancientmodernfinishes.com and we will delete it.

9Data security

We take the measures reasonably necessary to protect against unauthorised access, use, alteration, or destruction of the information described here. The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are validated and rate-limited before they are accepted, and access to submitted enquiries is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.

10Data retention

Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept while they are still live and then cleared out. Records relating to work we carried out are kept for as long as the workmanship warranty runs and for as long afterwards as tax and insurance requirements oblige us to hold them.

Opt-out records are the exception: if you reply STOP we keep the fact that you opted out, because that is the only way to be sure you are not messaged again.

11Third-party links and advertising

This site links out to our Google Business Profile, a Google My Maps layer showing completed projects, a Calendly booking page, and our video hosting. Following one of those puts you on a service we do not control and whose privacy practices are its own. Read theirs before you hand over anything.

Where advertising appears alongside our content on other services, those services may set their own cookies to recognise your browser and choose which advertisement to show. This policy covers our use of cookies. It does not cover theirs.

12Changes to this policy

We may change this policy. Most changes will be minor. The effective date at the top of the page is the date of the version you are reading, and continued use of the site after a change is published counts as acceptance of it. If a change materially affects how we handle information already collected from you, we will say so rather than rely on you noticing the date.
