The training behind the finish

Ancient Modern Finishes was established in Florida in 2000, out of Bonita Springs. Behind it is 30+ years in decorative and faux finishing, and a trade learned in three countries rather than picked up on the job.

The work started with restoration in Europe, then years at the School of Art in Athens under an Italian master and private study in Italy. The move to Florida added certifications in faux effects, European marbling, and wood graining through master courses in the United States. That is the background applied to plaster, cabinetry, and paint on every job here.

Materials are sourced for how they hold up in Florida heat and light, not for what is cheapest on the shelf. Every project gets the same standard, a single powder room or a whole house, and the schedule is planned so you keep using the rooms while the work is going on.

The owner walks the job. Not a project manager, not a call centre, not a different face every week. When something needs deciding on site, the person deciding is the person whose name is on the company.

That is the whole structure, and it is why the reviews on this site repeat the same three things: the crew turned up when it said it would, the house was protected, and the finish held up.

    You live in the house while we are in it. It has to be livable at six o'clock.
